When they stopped the dogs were so tired they curled up in the snow and took a nap. Matt and the Eskimos made igloos each day to protect them from the wind and cold. Even though an igloo is made of ice it is warmer than a tent. Inside they had an alcohol stove to melt water to drink and make hot tea. They slept in the thick fur cloths they wore on top of a big polar bear fur used for a mattress. But the dogs slept outside.
